The gallery shows single, couples and family portraits. I like to leave the background uncluttered, adding tonal shading which enhances the subject.
My Process
Each pencil portrait is drawn with professional-grade materials on archival paper, ensuring it will last for generations. The process includes:

Selecting your photo – I help you choose the perfect reference image for the best result.

Planning the composition – Discussing pose, background, and any personal touches.

Drawing – Layering fine pencil work to build depth, texture, and realism.

Finishing touches & delivery – Your artwork is carefully packaged for safe arrival in the UK or overseas. Drawings are supplied with a border ready for you to frame although I recommend you also get a mount to enhance the artwork at the time of framing.
When you decide to commission a pencil portrait I ask for a £100 deposit. Portraits can take up to 4-6 weeks to complete due to the time consuming nature of drawing so please bear this in mind if you are wanting one in time for a particular date or event. I will email you a proof of the finished portrait and only when you are completely happy with it will the balance be due.
Sizes and Pricing
Standard sizes are available for single-subject portraits, starting from £150, with larger and multi-subject drawings available on request.
